Study Abroad
Students may opt to study abroad in the Fall or Spring semesters. For information on housing sign up and vacancy filling, review the returning student housing selection information.
Generally, the Office of Residential Living cannot guarantee vacancies in preferred rooms or apartments.
Study Abroad Hold
Students studying abroad in the fall semester do not participate in housing selection unless they have an approved study abroad hold. After Selection, Residential Living will place a Fall-Only student in their place in order to guarantee a vacancy in the spring semester. All students, including those approved for a Study Abroad Hold, must still complete the housing application for the spring semester.
- Hold Application: Available on Hoya Housing
- Holds are awarded at random for those who complete a Study Abroad Hold application by the deadline. Availability is extremely limited and varies from year to year based on spring occupancy. Approval is NOT guaranteed; please plan accordingly.
