May Transition Housing

Georgetown students paying for May Transition Housing

Academic year housing ends 10 AM on Sunday, May 15, 2022 for any non-graduating student.  Any student who wishes to stay late on-campus past this date must sign-up for May Transition Housing.

Transition Housing will be located in Darnall Hall; students will relocate from their spring assignment to Darnall beginning at NOON on Monday, May 16.

May Transition Housing runs from:

  • May 15 – June 1, 2022: spring 2022 residents NOT enrolled in summer housing

Graduating seniors may stay in their academic year housing until 12pm (noon) on Monday, May 23, 2022 at no cost and only need to sign up for any Transition Housing needed between May 23- June 01, 2022.



May Transition Application

The application for May Transition Housing opens at 9:00 AM, Monday, April 18 until 12 PM, ET (noon), Monday, May 2, 2022. Residents can access the application on Hoya Housing

**If your housing is sponsored by a University Department, confirm with that department contact to ensure your housing is sponsored.

PreSession Housing

Georgetown Departments & Offices sponsoring PreSession & Summer Housing

If a department is covering the cost, the department contact must sign the student up for May Transition Housing. Email The Department Excel spreadsheets are emailed on March 7, 2022; deadline to submit is March 28, 2022.

Pre-Session Housing

Applications for Pre-session housing will be available on Hoya Housing beginning April 4 2022 at 12 PM (noon) ET. Students who require an accommodation to their housing must apply for a medical accommodation before April 15, 2022.

May 16, 2022 | 2 – 8 PM

Departure Date

June 18 | 8 AM- 12 PM (NOON)

Double occupancy room in residence hall or apartment



Living on campus during the spring 2022 semester?

Sign-up for Pre-Session Housing. Charges are applied to your student account in late May 2022.

Sign Up Instructions: Upon logging into the Hoya Housing Portal (new window), select “Forms” from the top menu, use the drop down menu to choose the “Pre-Session Housing Form.”

Not living on campus during the spring 2022 semester?

Download the Credit Card Authorization form and fax/drop off the completed form to Residential Living.

Pre-Session Housing is available students enrolled in pre-session courses. All students are initially charged tax. Students who stay continuously on campus from spring 2022 semester or into summer housing for 90 days of continuous housing can have tax refunded if they provide proof of enrollment in a Pre-Session course by 12pm June 24, 2022 via email
