May Transition Housing

Georgetown students paying for May Transition Housing

Academic year housing ends 12pm (noon) on Thursday, May 20, 2021.  Any student who wishes to stay on-campus past this date must sign-up for May Transition Housing.

May Transition Housing runs from:

  • May 20 – June 2 – spring residents NOT enrolled in the Summer term
  • May 20 – June 6 – spring residents enrolled in the Summer term

Graduating seniors may stay in their academic year housing until 12pm (noon) on Monday, May 24, 2021 at no cost and only need to sign up for any Transition Housing needed after May 24.


The application for May Transition Housing opens at 12pm (noon) on April 19, 2021 until 12pm (noon) on April 30, 2021.  You can access the application on your Hoya Housing page

**If your housing is sponsored by a University Department, confirm with that department to ensure your housing is sponsored.

Georgetown Departments & Offices sponsoring May Transition Housing

If a department is covering the cost, the department contact must sign the student up for May Transition Housing. Email The Department Excel spreadsheets are emailed on March 31, 2021; deadline to submit is April 12, 2021.

Pre-Session Housing

Applications for Pre-session housing will be available on Hoya Housing beginning April 19.

May 24 | 2:00 – 8:00 PM

Departure Date

June 20 | 8:00 – 12:00 PM (NOON)

Room Type

Double occupancy room in residence hall or apartment


$65/night Rate

Living on campus during the spring 2021 semester?

Sign-up for Pre-Session Housing. Charges are applied to your student account in late May 2021.

Not living on campus during the spring 2021 semester?

Download the Credit Card Authorization form and fax/drop off the completed form to Residential Living.

Pre-Session Housing is available students enrolled in pre-session courses. All students are initially charged tax. Students who stay continuously on campus from spring 2021 semester or into summer housing for 90 days of continuous housing can have tax refunded if they provide proof of enrollment in a Pre-Session course by 12pm June 15, 2021 via email
