About the Transfer LLC

The Transfer Living Learning Community (LLC) is designed to welcome and support new transfer students as they transition to life at Georgetown. Located in McCarthy Hall, this community fosters reflection, connection, and collaboration—building a strong foundation for success both academically and personally.

Rooted in the shared experiences of transfer students, the Transfer LLC creates a space where residents can form friendships, discover campus resources, and engage with faculty and peers in meaningful ways. Whether you’re adjusting to a new academic culture or simply looking to build your Hilltop home, the Transfer LLC offers opportunities for mentorship, belonging, and growth.

This LLC is open to all first-year transfer students, regardless of race, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected under University policy or applicable law.

How to Apply:

  1. Visit the Hoya Housing Portal.
  2. Select “Transfer LLC” as one of your preferred communities.
  3. Submit your application before the posted deadline.
