Residential Building & Room Access

Georgetown’s residence halls use a digital lock system, SwitchTech, to make your stay safe and seamless. Guests will use two apps for access:

Important: A smartphone is required to access your room.

All registered guests will receive two emails about building and room access two weeks before arrival. Be sure to complete both steps:

  1. Activate your Mobile GoCard – This serves as your digital access card to enter the building.
  2. Claim your SwitchTech registration token – This provides a registration code and instructions to set up your phone as your room key.
