55 H features a fitness center, modern living spaces and common areas to study and relax. It’s just a few blocks from Union Station and jobs and internships downtown, and within walking distance to grocery stores, Chinatown, the National Portrait Gallery and more.

Options and Rates

For interns and students from Georgetown and other universities participating in internships in the D.C. Metro area. All students are assigned to shared apartments, and you may request a roommate. Please list the full name of your desired roommate during the application process, and both individuals must confirm the request on their applications.

Interns are assigned to single bedrooms in 4-bedroom, 2-bath apartments with shared kitchens and living rooms. Apartments are approximately 825-873 square feet. See more details and amenities on the 55 H page.

Rates do not include 15.95% D.C. Occupancy Tax.

Important Dates & Application Process

Guests may leave anytime within the week, but housing is only offered on a weekly basis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Interns and students interning or studying in Washington, D.C., can apply to live at 55 H St. NW via the Hoya Housing portal.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Within 48 hours of completing the housing application: No cancellation fee.
  • Up to 30 days before the arrival week: 25% of the full amount paid will be forfeited.
  • 29 days to 24 hours before arrival: 50% of the full amount paid will be forfeited.
  • 24 hours or less before check-in, no-shows, or early departures: Full amount forfeited; no refunds.

Each apartment is assigned a mailbox with a key. Letter mail is delivered directly to your mailbox, and there is a package room where you can pick up packages with assistance from Front Desk staff.
