Sustainability in our Residence Spaces
Since 2009, all new construction and major renovations have been designed to meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED standards for environmental design at the Silver level or higher. This commitment shows that we’re working towards a greener future and healthier student spaces.

Annual Move-Out Drive
The annual Move-Out Drive embodies our university’s commitment to community service and environmental sustainability. Organized by the Office of Sustainability, we are proud participants in this meaningful initiative. Each year, Georgetown students are given an opportunity to donate their gently-used items instead of discarding them. This drive not only supports local charities but also promotes a culture of reusing and recycling.
